For starters, let’s dive into some of the reasons organic eating is a good and healthy decision to make! Organic foods do not have the following;  

  • pesticides 
  • herbicides 
  • fertilizers from synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge 
  • ionizing radiation 
  • growth hormones  
  • antibiotics 

Which is pretty amazing considering we live in a world ruled by processed foods.  Organic crops are also more nutritious for you and are usually GMO-free! All the more reason to shop organic!  We aren’t here to convert you or anything, but we are here to keep you in the loop when it comes to.. well… anything positively affecting your lifestyle! With that, here are a few of our favourite local and organic shops in the Fraser Valley!

It’s May, which means campsites are rolling out those open signs and the relaxing days are here.  Camping on the river is always a soothing experience, the rush of the river always seems to ease the mind ,but don’t just take our word for it, try it yourself!  We’ve chosen 11 different sites in some of the most scenic places sure to bring a smile to your  face! If you’re feeling particularly stuck in choosing a campsite whether it be small and intimate or large and “loud” we’ve got the right choice for you.   

After a full and busy school year, June is a time of celebration and excitement. Final tests are written, projects are handed in and grades are awarded. For students and parents, June is a season to look forward to what life holds next while remembering the challenges and successes that have met you along the way. 

No matter what level of schooling your graduates are completing – high school, university, masters programs  being able to honour their achievements is a wonderful part of their education journey.  

May long. Its the first long weekend of the year that promises outdoor adventures. This year weve lucked out, as the weather has been absolutely perfect for any type of activity you could dream up for the long weekend.  Most people book their May Long plans way ahead in anticipation of sunshine & fun, but if the Victoria Day stat is looming and you still have no plans, dont worry, Ive got ya.

St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church is hosting a Spring Fair and Garage Sale on Friday May 24th from 4:00 – 9:00 pm and Saturday May 25″ from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. This family-friendly event attracts visitors from many neighbouring areas as well as from within the Abbotsford community. This event is not only a very important fundraiser for the church, but also an opportunity to welcome the treasured Abbotsford community and  get to know each other better.

Summer is right around the corner and with that comes camping! Whether you’re staying in The Valley or going out of town we have the perfect list of camping essentials for you.
