Abbotsford is a great, not so little anymore, city with so much to offer! There’s something for everyone to do. I’m going to give you three different scenarios of a dream visit to Abbotsford.
As long time Chilliwack residents we can safely say, you really have to like the outdoors to enjoy this place. Chilliwack is not the place you go to have a night out on the town. On the contrary, Chilliwack is a place where you can escape the hustle and bustle, enjoy some fresh air, and nature!
I hope that by sending this out into the universe I have not somehow, once again, offended Mother Nature. The snow appears to be done and it really does seem as though spring is here and I, for one, cannot wait to be outside in the sun.
Regardless of the temperature, it’s time to get outdoors and reconnect with our local Fraser Valley beauty – And what better way to do that than with a picnic?
Ahh Spring is finally here! The trees are starting to bloom, everything is slowly becoming green again, and the soil is thawing… which means it’s time to start gardening! If you’re new to the gardening world, fear not my friend – we’ve got you. All you have to do is follow these easy steps to grow the garden of your dreams this Spring!
Erin go Bragh!
It’s that time of year again, so I hope you’re peeling those potatoes and making sure you have something green (or orange) to wear.
I have a lot of personal feelings about St. Paddy’s Day and what is or isn’t acceptable when hosting a get-together around March 17th. If you came here for recipes that simply add green food colouring to everything and call it a day, you might be disappointed. And while I do hold a special place in my Irish heart for anything rainbow-inspired, green foods alone do not a St. Patrick’s party make.
Even though there’s still snow on the mountains – and some of our lawns – spring is almost here! And with it comes Spring Break. In 2019, Spring Break runs from March 16th to 31st for most Fraser Valley schools.
So, what is there to do with your kid’s during those two weeks? There is anything and everything to do in the Fraser Valley with kids of all ages with Spring Break. Be sure to check your local recreation centres, libraries, ice arenas, indoor pools, and any other city run organization. They have numerous free activities for families happening all over the Fraser Valley.
Spring is just around the corner! If you’re looking to get out and about this month then read on! Here are a few things going on in The Fraser Valley this March!
If you live in the Fraser Valley, you know that it rains here… a lot! These long rainy days can be a nightmare for us parents whose kids start going stir crazy being locked up inside all day. But, fear not! There are some great activities to do inside on rainy days all over the Fraser Valley.
Even though it feels like we’re in a never-ending argument that we just can’t win with winter, spring is just around the corner. And with spring comes fields of tulips, sundresses and plenty of perfect ways to get your ‘gram on.
But even without the sun and flowers, Langley has so many beautiful places to visit that make extraordinary backdrops for your next selfie or photoshoot. Here are some of the best Instagram backdrops you can find in Langley.
Built on the traditional territory of Katzie, Kwantlen, and Matsqui First Nations, and the former fur trading post for the Hudson Bay Company, Fort Langley is a gem nestled in our corner of BC. If you’re looking for fun and eclectic shops, breathtaking scenery, and a good dose of history to go with your locally-brewed coffee, this is the place to be. The town has worked hard to preserve its history and heritage appearance, while also nurturing major growth in small businesses that provide unique shopping and amazing food. Because we have serious Fort Langley pride, it is with great pleasure that we highlight one of our favourite coffee shops just a short block from the river.
