love spring more than almost everything else in life. And one of the reasons I love it so much is a transplanted Dutch phenomenon here in the Fraser Valley – Tulips!
I love tulips so much that they are easily one of my favourite flowers. So, when the good people of the Fraser Valley took it upon themselves to perfect growing these seasonal beauties, AND THEN opened their fields up for us to frolic in, I was beyond overjoyed.
With the nicer weather, dreams of long weekends and summer, people are thinking more and more about things they can do around the Fraser Valley for day trips. Whether you have people visiting from out of town, or you just want to get away for a day with your family, there is lots to do around our area!
There is so much natural beauty and wonder to be found in The Fraser Valley. So, is it really surprise that there has been a noticeable boom in the amount of amazing, delicious and local food and drinks that can be enjoyed here? Not really. And it’s exciting to see and hear about new establishments that are still yet to come.

I love spring more than any other season because of the freshness that is all around us. New life, greener grass, blue skies and fresh spring time produce. That fresh produce is perfect for creating new recipes for your spring time celebrations.

Get your bibs ready. The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival is coming back to the Fraser Valley. The first stop is coming up on Saturday, April 27 and happening every subsequent weekend after that (except May 18) until the middle of June.
Easter is almost here!! This week is Spring Break and I’ve been watching my niece and nephew while my brother and sister in law are away. So, I recruited their help along with my 2 kids to come up with some easy Easter DIY Projects. Crafts with 4 kids under the age of 6 can be challenging and messy, but it’s also pretty fun. The Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival is pleased to announce three ticket only headliner acts that will perform at the 2019 festival, July 26-28, 2019. Opening the festival on Friday night is an All-Star Blues show with the award-winning Steve Kozak Band inside the walls of the Fort Langley National Historic Site. An all-star blues jam will follow with Vancouver’s top blues musicians including Harpdog Brown, Wailin’ Al Walker, Murray Porter, James Buddy Rogers, Brandon Isaak, Dalannah Gail Bowen, Lisa Dunn, Joani Bye and more.
