Fall is the perfect time to turn our homes into comfy, cozy abodes. Nothing says fall to me quite like snuggling up on the couch with a good book, smelling pumpkin spice and apple pie in the background. 

Warm Tones

Think browns, reds, yellows, and oranges. You don’t have to go painting your walls to make any of these your primary colour but think of different ways to bring pops of these colours in. It may be through throw pillows, rugs, candles, even bringing in wood or other natural elements into your decor. There are so many ways to bring warm tones into your home. It really adds to the comfy, cozy feel! Mustard is a big colour in the fashion world this fall, Olive seems to be a big trend in home decor. 

Ceramics

Who doesn’t love a cute Rae Dunn mug or canister? Ceramics are huge this fall. Whether that be through vases, pots, or even ceramic looking essential oil diffusers. Ceramics are also a great way to bring some more warm tones into your decor. 

Geometric Lines

Patterns and prints, especially in geometric shapes and lines are still really popular. You can add this through artwork, wallpaper, or redoing an old piece of furniture. Or get some fun patterned pillows or throw blankets. 

Printed Wallpaper

Printed Wallpaper can bring so much character to a room. I love printed wallpaper in smaller rooms or spaces, such as a bathroom or a hallway. This is another great way to bring in some geometric lines or natural elements into your home. 

Pumpkins

You can’t go wrong with pumpkin decor for the fall. Pumpkins come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colours, so you can make them work with whatever you already have. And if you can’t find the colour you want, just paint it!! They are great for decorating both indoors and outdoors too. 

Textures

There are so many ways to add texture to your living space. The natural elements you bring in, or the knitted throw for on the love seat. Texture is big again this fall. 

Lighting

The big style trend for lamps this fall is the umbrella lampshade (think lampshade shaped like an umbrella). You can get these as floor lamps or hanging lamps, there are lots of styles to choose from. Also, paper lanterns seem to be making a comeback. This is another fantastic way to bring some texture into your space.
