Canada was made for winter sports!  Let’s face it, you can either stay inside most of the time between November and March, or you can embrace the cold, drizzly, snowy weather (insert your local weather conditions). You are not alone in your pursuit of the perfect winter activity.  Much of Canada has found that they either can stay home and experience cabin fever or find a way to be social in spite of the long winter.

It’s been a few weeks since I set my plans to get back into shape after the birth of my third child. To say  it’s been an easy task would be a bold-faced lie. But it hasn’t been completely impossible, and I have found some amazing tools and resources to help me along the way. Fit 4 Two has been a much need dose of motivation and sanity during my hectic, and often sleep deprived, days.

Put on your most dapper duds and step back in time to eat, drink, dance, and party the night away in support of  Wounded Warriors Canada- an organization that honours and supports Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, First Responders and their families through a national slate of mental health programs and services that are adaptive, innovative and evidence-informed. Their programming provides life changing and family saving results for our Veterans, First Responders and their families.

The service families in Chilliwack and across the valley know first hand the impact programming like this can have on individuals and families in the service community- and it’s for this reason that we’re hoping to make the 1940s Canteen Dance an annual institution in Chilliwack- with your help.!

Connecting Communities & Giving Back

On February 13, 2018 Marketplace Women & Sequel Events are hosting a fundraiser for Matthew’s House at The Reach Gallery Museum in Abbotsford. Their goal is to raise $10,000 to help with the continuation of quality, compassionate care that Matthew’s House provides to families in our community.

Galentine’s Day is a day to connect women within our communities while celebrating being women of influence and giving back. The evening will be an opportunity to celebrate the amazing women around us while using this influence to do good. We know that good people will be eager to celebrate with us and support Matthew’s House.
