I love market season, maybe because I’m not crafty. At all. I have a deep sense of respect and admiration for things people create with their imagination & their hands. I also love meeting the makers themselves and hearing the stories about how & why they create their goods. I’ve always enjoyed taking my son to wander around craft fairs and artisan markets to discover unexpected treasures. One thing’s for sure—we never leave a market empty handed and I feel good knowing we’ve supported our local economy & community.
One market we’re excited to check out is Purely Local’s Fall Market on September 30th.
This event will have over 35 great local brands, artisans and bakers in one place and will also have Erin Ocampo Photography on site offering her popular mini photo sessions in styled photo booth for you and your littles. There’ll be great local prize giveaway for a good cause: a raffle to support the Pacific Postpartum Support Society. There’s also FREE SWAG BAGS for the first 50 shoppers. So get your market bags ready and don’t forget to come early!
