Is there anything better than fresh air, sunshine and food? I don’t think so.
Get your bibs ready. The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival is coming back to the Fraser Valley. The first stop is coming up on Saturday, April 27 and happening every subsequent weekend after that (except May 18) until the middle of June.
That means you have no excuse to not go out and stuff your face whenever your schedule permits.
Showcasing everything from festival food to refreshing beverages to delectable desserts and fun ethnic fusion foods, there is a truck for every taste bud and appetite.
Sandwiches, hot dogs, corn dogs, donairs, poutine. Lemonade, pizza, ice cream. Vegan, meaty, hot, cold, sweet, savoury. You will pretty much find anything your heart (or stomach) desires.
A few of my favourite trucks will be making their appearances: the Mo’ Bacon Truck, Big Reds Poutine, and the Cannoli King, and a whole list of other exciting trucks to check out. Follow @fvfoodtruckfest on Instagram or Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival on Facebook to see which trucks are on the list for this year.
And as if food wasn’t enough to entice you to attendance, the Food Truck Fest is a great outing for the whole family, offering up some fun entertainment and activities:
Featuring the Paw Patrol at every event this year, your little ones will have a blast meeting their favourite characters. The festival is also presenting Wes Barker; an amazing local magician and entertainer that has showcased his bag of tricks on shows such as American’s Got Talent.
Face painting and a photo booth will also sure to be a hit.
As always, every Food Truck Festival is pet-friendly! Water stations will be set up for your furry family members so they can get in on the action. I know my dog wouldn’t want to miss the poutine truck either.
There will also be artisan markets set up, exhibiting all sorts local businesses and handmade products – from baked goods to clothes and everything in between.
